Liberty Services
Liberty wants to help you achieve financial freedom across your lifestyle needs. This includes your funeral cover, where they believe you should have the freedom to choose the type of cover and benefits that suit you.
Your funeral plan should not offer you limited benefits, or make you take benefits that you don’t need. Rather you should be able to choose the benefits that suit your budget and your needs.
Funeral cover tailored to suit you: the Funeral Plus Plan
Their Funeral Plus Plan gives you this important freedom. You’re also able to take out cover for up to 32 eligible members (including your spouses, children, parents and extended family), without you yourself having to be covered on this plan.
On average funerals in the country can cost from R12 000 to R60 000. More elaborate funerals can cost up to R150 000.
Without funeral cover, death can bring unexpected expenses that you and your loved ones may not be prepared for. Funeral Plus Plan helps cover these expenses – all in one plan, giving you peace of mind.
Key benefits and added optionals of the Funeral Plus Plan:
- Cover more of your loved ones: Up to 32 eligible members (including spouses, children, parents, and extended family) can be covered under the plan, without the principal life assured having to be covered on this plan.
- More benefits to choose from: A wide range of optional benefits can be added or removed at any time, depending on your needs and budget.
- Inkomo Cash Benefit: This benefit pays a lump sum amount in addition to the funeral cover (and tombstone benefit if selected), providing flexibility to use the funds where they’re needed the most.
- Double Accident Benefit: In the event of the accidental death of the principal life assured or their spouse, this benefit will pay double the chosen funeral sum assured, up to R100 000, to help cover unexpected difficulties and expenses.
- Paid Up Benefit: When the principal life assured turns 65, the paid-up benefit makes sure no more premiums are due, but the policy remains in force. If they pass on after the policy is made paid up, the policy will terminate.
- Value-Adds Benefit: Offers cash to help pay for the funeral plans. Three benefits are available on each life you cover. Depending on your needs, any of the benefits can be taken out separately and has a seperate premium.
- Tombstone Benefit: This benefit pays a lump sum amount for the tombstone of the principal life assured or their spouse, in addition to their funeral sum assured.
- Cash Back Benefit: This optional benefit pays a bonus on the fifth policy anniversary and every policy anniversary thereafter, provided that the policy remains active.
- The Paid Up Benefit ensures that when the policyholder passes the family will not have to keep paying and when they hit 65, and the policy remains in force, but if they pass on after the policy is paid up, the policy will terminate.
