Doves Cow Burial Plan offers four different plans that provide cover for burial services for South African individuals and families.
The plans are designed to cater to different needs, from covering single parents and their children, to member-only plans, and even extended dependent plans that cover you and your loved ones or employees.
All plans provide cover for natural and accidental deaths, with waiting periods varying from four to six months.
1. Doves Cow Burial Plan - Family Plan
This funeral plan provides coverage for you, your partner, and up to six children for funeral services.
Each family member is covered for up to R30,000 for a premium of R302. The funeral services include a cow valued at R8,000, a Pongee coffin, death registration, preservation for your loved one for up to seven days, hearse , a vehicle to the value of R2k, refreshments, flower arrangements, gravesite preparation, programs, and tents with chairs.
Natural deaths require a waiting period of only four months, while accidental deaths are covered as soon as you pay your first premium. You and your partner must be below 65 years old to be eligible for this plan.
2. The Doves Cow Burial Plan - Single Parent Plan
This pays for burial services for you if you’re unmarried and all of your kids. The plan covers up to 6 children and offers a cover value of up to R30k per family member.
The plan includes a cow, acoffin, death registration, preservation for your loved one, hearse within a 50km radius, a vehicle to the value of R2,000, water and juice, coffin flower arrangemens, gravesite setup, 100 leaflets with the funeral programme, and tents and chairs at home.
The plan has a waiting period of 4 months in the event of a death from natural causes, and accidental death is covered right away upon receipt of the first premium. The maximum age you and your spouse can be to be eligible is 65 years.
3. The Doves Cow Burial Plan - Member Only Plan
Provides cover for burial services for an individual member. You get R30k cover from just a single premium payment which is just R121, which can be used to receive various burial services including a cow, burial, coffin, registration of the passing, hearse, preservation, and more.
The plan also covers accidental death immediately upon receipt of the first premium, and has a waiting period of only 4 months. The maximum entry age for you and your partner is 65 years.
4. The Cow Burial Extended Dependent Plan
Provides cover for Burial Services for you and your loved ones at a starting premium of R265 for R30k cover. The plan includes services such as death registration, preservation, a hearse, a vehicle, coffin flower arrangements, and tents and chairs for up to 50 people.
Accidental death is covered immediately, while there is a 6-month waiting period if someone passes as a result of natural casues. The maximum entry age for the insured is 85 years.
